It’s National Convention time again! The Band will make its way to Cincinnati this weekend for the 98th National American Legion Convention.
As in previous years, the Concert Band contest will be live-streamed on Saturday afternoon at no cost – give us a listen from the comfort of your own computer! We will be performing Children’s March (Grainger), Bullets and Bayonets (Sousa), and An Original Suite (Gordon Jacob).
The contest will kick off on Saturday, August 28 at 1:00 with an exhibition performance by Minnesota’s 9th District American Legion Band. The Joliet (IL) American Legion Band will perform 2nd at 1:50 and the American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City will perform last beginning at 2:40 pm.
